SoftServe is the engine behind the world’s most ambitious digital transformations, partnering with global titans like Nvidia, Amazon, Google, and Microsoft.
Despite their incredible track record, the brand needed a visual and strategic identity that matched their stature.
We worked with SoftServe to move beyond the functional and into the aspirational. The result is a total brand transformation built on a new singular, powerful strategic idea: Technology Elevated.
In a sector often defined by cold aesthetics and generic tech tropes, SoftServe now stands apart.
The new identity is designed to communicate mastery, precision, and a relentless forward momentum.
It’s a brand that raises the game for its clients.
“The team at SomeOne dazzled us from day one. From the way they conducted research that not only listened but left audiences feeling heard, to their refreshingly ownable strategic thinking, they left us in no doubt we were looking at a world-class outcome. I knew we would be a tough global client for any agency, with unflinchingly high standards and a deeply personal connection to the brand, as we are still privately owned and run by our founders, so it was a significant achievement when SomeOne managed to unite the entire organisation behind such a progressive programme of work. Notably my teams love working with the new design systems and we are getting compliments daily from both colleagues and clients. Working with SomeOne has genuinely elevated the way we are seen and the way we see ourselves.” — Neill Furmston, Global Brand Director
At the heart of the new identity is a bespoke, hand-drawn wordmark.
We moved away from off-the-shelf geometry in favour of something unique and proprietary.
By hand-crafting the letterforms, we infused the brand with a human touch that reflects the ingenuity of SoftServe’s people, balanced with the razor-sharp precision expected by their enterprise partners.
The tech sector is swamped with brands wanging on about solutions. With SoftServe, we wanted to talk about height, a promise of a higher standard of thinking, a more refined level of engineering, and a trajectory that only goes one way: up.
Central to the visual identity is the Ascend Mark, a symbol meticulously crafted to serve as the definitive shorthand for Technology Elevated.
It is an understated and confident brand element designed to act as an immediate signifier of quality; one look allows any piece of communication to feel unmistakably SoftServe.
The mark was built with a geometric rigour that ensures it remains legible and impactful at any scale. It carries a quiet authority when used as a tiny favicon or app icon, yet reveals its structural sophistication when scaled up to larger proportions for physical environmental branding, posters, or high-end apparel.
The true power of The Ascend Mark is revealed through its motion. It was animated to reflect the core brand strategy, with its components coming together in a synchronised upward movement that mirrors the onwards and upwards philosophy.
Beyond being a standalone icon, it serves as a functional connector within the brand’s template system. It acts as an anchor point that ties together layouts, creating a visual bridge between headlines and imagery. This versatility allows it to function as a signature of excellence across all touchpoints, ensuring that whether it’s a digital interface or a physical object, the mark consistently signals a brand that is raising the game.
It’s built on a grid but moves with a soul.
Every element of the new visual system, from the bespoke wordmark, to the precision-engineered monogram, to fully animated discipline-specific CGI textures have been crafted to feel and act premium.
We’ve moved the brand from a service provider to a strategic partner, creating a look and feel that sits comfortably alongside the luxury of Montblanc or the cutting-edge innovation of Nvidia.
In a sector where products are often invisible lines of code or abstract cloud architectures, we created a suite of bespoke CGI assets to give SoftServe a unique, authored visual voice.
Precision-engineered visualisations of complex technical concepts.
By transforming abstract data and digital strategy into tactile, three-dimensional forms, we made the intangible feel believable and robust.
This aesthetic allows SoftServe to visualise the power of their work with Nvidia or Microsoft in a way that feels physical and high-end, effectively bridging the gap between high-level concepts and tangible results.
The brand needed to visually express elevation and precision. This thinking informed every decision, from the selection of typography to the crafting of the bespoke Ascend Mark. Brought to life through motion, the mark is confident, precise, and always moving with purpose. Sitting at the heart of the brand, it acts as a connective element across a fluid template system, bringing a recognisable signature to all communications.
To ensure the brand remains consistent across its global footprint, we developed a precision-engineered system that carries a wide selection of assets.
This ensures that whether a SoftServe consultant is in London, Austin, or Kyiv, the brand speaks with one elevated voice.
SoftServe is now strategically, verbally and visually equipped to lead the next era of digital innovation, proving that when technology is elevated, anything is possible.
To unite a diverse global portfolio, we developed an Elevated Colour System designed to act as a cinematic thread through the brand’s photography.
Moving away from the sterile, over-saturated blues typical of the tech sector, the new palette uses sophisticated, modulated tones that bring warmth and depth to human-centric imagery.
This system ensures that whether the photography depicts a team collaborating in a lab or a high-level executive meeting, there is a consistent tonal atmosphere.
By grading all photography through this proprietary lens, we create a seamless visual connection between the brand’s digital interfaces and its real-world impact, ensuring SoftServe always feels premium and cohesive.
The brand truly comes to life through its motion language. We established a set of animation principles where elevation is the core driver.
Nothing is static; nothing moves laterally without purpose.
Every transition, every reveal, and every UI element is choreographed to move onwards and upwards.
This constant upward trajectory serves as a visual metaphor for the progress SoftServe delivers to its clients.
We’ve moved away from generic stock imagery to a custom-built visual language that allows SoftServe to literally own the way technology is visualised.
It turns the complexity of code into something beautiful, structural, and undeniably elevated.
To complement the overarching Ascend Mark and the bespoke CGI language, we designed a library of unique pictograms that exemplify ‘Technology Elevated.’ Moving beyond standard geometric forms, these icons, such as the directional chevrons and interaction points, are sculpted with the same precision-engineered curves and structural integrity found across the entire SoftServe system.
Every icon is a micro-visualisation of the brand’s logic, carefully balanced between technical rigidity and human ingenuity.
Whether indicating a dynamic data intersection or a simple navigational step, these elements remain cohesive and distinctly SoftServe, proving that even the smallest visual details are crafted to reinforce the broader narrative of progress and refinement.
Rebranding a global powerhouse like SoftServe requires more than just creative vision; it demands absolute alignment across borders. By managing these moving parts and fostering a culture of shared ambition, we’ve created a unified brand platform that empowers every SoftServe office to speak with one voice, proving that when we move together, we move upwards.
Huge thanks to the entire SoftServe team, including Neill, Arturo, Harry, Kawika, Erik, Tetiana, Taras, Yaroslav, Vika, Endrit and everyone who helped make the work such a success.
